For those who haven't tanned before, I have to say that it is worth trying. I know that the dangers of UV damage is all over magazines and whatnot, however I think many people are uninformed about tanning. Many tanning beds now are designed so that they have less than 10% burning rays--which are the damaging rays. That's must less damaging than just laying outside! Also the UV lights give your body a healthy dose of vitamin D which your body needs. Not to mention that many doctors actually perscribe tanning beds as a treatment for acne. I find that when I tan I feel so much more relaxed, it's therapeutic! Granted, there are dangers associated with tanning that I am aware of. However many people don't recognize that tanning also has some pros too!
